Seasons – To Me

on December 17, 2011

As the title implies, this is what each season feels like in my head 🙂

Seasons – To Me

She sang to see kisses landing on the ground at her feet

They landed on her head and chin and felt oh so sweet

She thanked God for simplicity, and how it made her complete

And everywhere she heard the soft rhythm of the beat

And she laughed to see honey drip down from the bright sun

Dancing decked in gold, she twirled round and she spun

The tasting of joy and light made her skip and run

So she thanked God for her life draped in fun

She cheered to see confetti swirl down from high trees

She joined in celebration to greet the cold weather breeze

And she jumped into the piles, crashed down on her knees

Thanking God for the precious moments given, such as these

And she smiled to see marshmallows falling from the heavens

As they tumbled into her mouth, she thanked God for the present

The taste of sprinkled cloud melted in her mouth

Filled her eyes with laughter as she ran about
