A little this – a little that!

on January 28, 2012

When the sea is tossed, who is there to catch it?

And who dries the weeping willow’s tears?

Who calms the howling wind?

And who is there for me?

Who picks the shaken rain up once it falls?

And who irons out the harsh heat waves?

Who shoots the stars, and sweeps their dust?

And who is there for me?

You raise the sun and paint the dawn

Your strength lays deadwood to rest

You cover the Earth in a blanket of snow

And keep all alive, beneath

With a mighty bellow, you summon storms

With a whisper you light the darkest soul

Your words, they linger upon my heart

For all eternity

  1. Beautiful words, great work, a lovely poem.

  2. That’s a beautiful poem 🙂 My brother writes quite a few short poems and I keep meaning to put them on a separate page of my blog sometime (he’s not on the internet so can’t do it himself).
