Dictionary Game Week 1 Results :)

on February 20, 2012

Well, the verdict is in. A big thanks to everyone who joined in the game! I hope you all had fun and that any of you who had cold feet will consider joining the next round. Now, who’s ready to see the winners?

First, I’m giving a shout out to the runners up:

Third Place: The right mood – Hiya!…er…Morph!

Second Place: randomyriad – I thought their definitions were soooooo creative! The first one was especially clever.

Congrats! You two get to choose one word each for the next round! Either tell me your word in the comments section, or send it through to the “Contact Me” page to keep it a surprise!

And now, the moment we’ve all been waiting for…..the winner, of our first round of Dictionary is….

First Place: DeftRubenator (I would add a link, but this particular follower doesn’t have a blog….yet!)

Their definitions:

pecksniffian – the phenomenon that occurs when a tall man and a short woman hug one another, note: this is more pronounced when the woman is crying.

morph – directly opposite of souph and perpendicular to both eaph and weph

an additional quantity, amount or abundance of “ph”

crescendo – what Irish bakers do to produce various types of bread. (“Finnegan, what are ya doin lad?” “Well, Flanagan, i’m crushin dough”

Hurrah! Once again, congrats to those of you who have won 1st, 2nd, and 3rd, and a big thanks to everyone who played along! Stay tuned for the next round sometime soon! 🙂

Very, very neat competition, Ray. I have no time for competitions this year, the year of the great series completion, but I so enjoyed your concept and your “words” you proposed. Hooray for fun!
