Today my twin sister and I are finally making time to write some poetry together! I’ll post some of it up here. Tell us what you think! Oh, and happy belated Easter! I hope you all had a great one.

Hidden:

Hidden

In anticipation

A child’s recreation to count to ten

Ready or not, searching for friends who are

Hidden

What’s desperately needed

Frenzied calls aren’t heeded by the missing keys

Please, I’ve got to be somewhere, why’d they have to be

Hidden

Timid creature in it’s home

So alone, yet full of peace

In a piece of shelter upon it’s back, it’s

Like a shadow slinking by the vault

A somersault and a lock pick

Alarm is tripped soon the culprit’s

Hidden

All colors and creation

Half contented imagination, imagining life

With its shapes and figures swallowed by fog, now

Hidden

Behind a pane of glass

The pain of dissatisfaction fogs the mirror

Ever clearer exterior, while self-worth is

Hidden

From view were all the answers

Like a growing cancer, deceit pries on the fearful

Get an earful, but it’s all too late, the truth’s been

Hidden

    Very thought-provoking analogy here between the snail and its life in and out of its shell and how we ourselves duck in and out from view in our own self-constructed shells–hiding the truth of ourselves, our true gifts, far too often, even from ourselves. Bless you this Easter Week!
